we visited here 2 years ago and have never left coming up most week ends
throughout the summer. This is such a clean friendly and safe site for a young
family with playing areas for the kids and a quiet area if you don't have
any. There are hens and ducks peakcocks and an occasional cat just wondering
round the site to look at. The wardens are always on hand and there is an on
site cafe open for yummy breakfasts ( if you don't want to cook)
It is a lovely area to walk with your dogs and there are some lovely villages
near by.
Eshot ( where the woolpack is from Emmerdale)and an animal farm great fun.
See you there sometime...

We stayed for one night and thought it was a lovely campsite, easy to find but a very bumpy mud track up to the site, when you come over the hill and see the site the views are amazing !
The warden (Pete) was extermely helpful, he parked our van and lent us an electric hook up lead as this was our first time camping !the kids outdoor play area was great, all the vans and tents surround it so you can sit back and relax
and keep an eye on the kids at the same time, people were having bbq's and picnics and it was all very nice, dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead whilst onsite which is great when kids are around, plenty of moorland for them
to run about outside the campsite ! the showers are unisex and didn't look to have much room for getting changed in but we didn't use them as only stayed the one night, cafe on site was nice and cheap and made a lovely breakfast, we will 100% be coming back very soon, thanks for a great stay.

Had a one night stay and thoroughly enjoyed this out of the way site. The unmade road to the site was interesting in our rear wheel drive car, however, well worth the bumpy ride.
On arrival the warden was very friendly and helpful.
Excellent breakfast at the on site cafe, the service was very friendly and the cafe immaculately clean.
The site is right on the top of the moor and has beautiful views into shipley glen.
Facilities were excellent, the site is entered and exited with a secure coded gate which gives peace of mind.
The site is very animal friendly with a few free roaming chickens, ducks and a number of peacocks, whilst quite loud, were very interesting to watch, we didn't mind them at all but some may find them noisy rather than entertaining.
Overall we had a lovely stay and would go back.
For people with children, it has a play area with climbing frames which was being enjoyed very much by a couple of young families during our stay, for those without children, there are pitches away from this area.

Caravan- Static and comfortable.
Warden was Ron and he was a lovely guy and very helpful. He gave us a very useful list of places to visit.
Caravan Park was very good and scenery was beautiful.
Road up to park was a bit rough but when you get there the moor is delightful.
Loved the ducks, hens and peacocks that live and roam the park.
We stayed 6 nights and the weather was gorgeous.
